The Flying High with Dad Project was born in 2006 as a joint initiative between La Maison de la Matawinie ouest and Rawdon Arbraska representatives. However, it wasn’t until 2012 that the Matawinie fatherhood committee decided to create a special, highly affordable event for fathers to bond with their kids during Fatherhood Week. In 2016, Flying High with Dad was held at multiple Quebec parks for the first time (Rawdon, Mont Saint-Grégoire, and Rigaud). This year, the event will be held on Father’s Day morning (June 16) at nine different parks in collaboration with ten community organizations (see list below).
We would like to extend our gratitude to the Arbraska, Arbre-en-ciel, and Arbre en Arbre parks for participating in this wonderful project. Nearly a thousand fathers and children will get to make unforgettable memories thanks to you!
